Default right stop light/turn signal dead , what color wire ? which fuse ? anything else ???

Hi ,

I have a 2005 van , the right rear stop light and turn signal do not work , and the emergancy flasher on that side also does not work ,
the tail light works fine ,

I have just changed the bulbs hoping that would help , but it did not ,

and I have pulled the fuses and they were not blown ......

So what color is the wire in the harness from front to back ,
and are there any other fuses that control the right side stop light , turn signal , emergancy flasher ( its all the same bulb )

Thanks for your ideas

wiring schematics:
BBB Industries- Premium Alternators, Starters, Power Steering Products and Turbochargers | TSB and Wiring Diagrams Database
or
https://www.gmupfitter.com/pages/body-builder-manuals

The light assembly is fairly easy to access and there shouldn't be too many wires going to it. You can visually check for broken/corroded wires. There should also be a grounding wire to the chassis in that bundle too so just make sure it's making a clean connection. A multimeter will be very useful for checking voltage and continuity.

Don't forget to check the socket for melt/corrosion.

Hi.....looked at the GM page and no wiring , and the other link wants you to join ,

can someone explain what the under the seat box does ?
seems like it has some fuses in it ,

do I need to remove the seat to get to it or does the top pop off ?

The wire at the socket is yellow , I checked with test light and nothing ,
the tail light on the same side works fine.

It looks like someone messed with the wiring at one time as it has electrical tape crudely wrapped around the harness.

Anyway still playing with it , would like to know what the box under the seat does......

Thanks for your help.....

Then use the 2006 electrical manual. It'll be 99% the same.

Yes just like this forum. For free. Totally worth it.

You just answered your own question. It's a fuse box. Sure you might be able to get the top off with the seat in but you won't see much.
