Default Side mirror adaption

Working on getting decent blind spot mirrors on my '05, PO had junk in place. Haven't found any decent clip-ons, stick-ons, etc. (yeah, I'm picky).

I like the mirrors listed for '08 and up with the turn signal and blind spot mirror in place on the bottom. Has anyone adapted these to an earlier express? Screw mounts look the same from what I can tell in the small pictures. Imagine wiring connector has to be changed, are the movement and heater taking the same inputs? Don't care about the turn signal, but if I feel like it sometime might chase.
