Hello,

I have a Chevrolet express 2500 2015 cargo van. It is the base model with the LS engine,6l-90E transmission, and 3.42 GU6 locking differential.

My question is, and I ask because I could not find the information with the advance search on this forum. This is a question for someone who knows these vehicles intimately.

Are there any 12 pointed HEX style METRIC bolts anywhere on the VEHICLE a regular Shade tree mechanic (myself) might need a 12 pointed SOCKET to get them LOOSE? If it's for something deep in the engine, forget it, because I won't go there.

Because other wise, I am going to toss my mass collection of 12 pointed sockets. Too many stripped bolts...

 

I haven't needed one yet. One thing I've noticed about these vans is nearly everything related to basic maintenance and repair is pretty simple and doesn't require anything special.

 

Yeah I put my 12 points in a donation bin. I hate those things and crescent wrenches. Maybe my technique sucks, idk.

 

I keep all my tools. In other news my garage has too much stuff in it to park a car in it.
