1994 G20 - driver's side-view mirror not working - replace motor?

1994 G20 - driver's side-view mirror not working - replace motor?
Hi guys,
The mirror actually goes left/right fine, but not up/down. The passenger side mirror works fine, so I know the switch is OK.
Do I replace the motor? Or the whole mirror assembly? On our 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan, it was actually cheaper to buy the entire assembly, the whole thing, than just buying the glass or motor, that's why I ask.
Any tips on how to do the repair?
