Temp and Compass not working on rear view mirror

Temp and Compass not working on rear view mirror
Hoping someone knows the answer to this. The temp and compass reading has quit working on my 02 suburban. Anyone had this problem? I'm wondering if I need a new rear view mirror or if there is a sensor somewhere that is no longer sending the info to the mirror? Any thoughts or info would be reall appreciated. Thanks. Scott
