Default 1994 G20 Tiara Motor Coach | Tire Questions

Hello, All!

First time posting, new van owner. I recently purchased a 1994 Chevrolet G20 Tiara Motor Coach conversion van from the original owner with ~53,000 miles. I'm having a few things replaced and need tires. It currently runs a 235/70/15 BFGoodrich Radial TA (Looks great but might be a bit underrated when it comes to load rating/index, IMO). The door sill suggests a 225/75/15 but there are very few tire options in that size. I'm considering a 235/75/15 Michelin Defender LTX but am worried that the hard rear tire cover might not fit.

Does anyone have input as to what tires might make sense to run? At some point, I might consider towing a single-car trailer, too.

She's a beauty!

I'm driving my 1994 G20 with 235s and have no issues. You can go all the way up to a 265 on the back without issue. I did that on a 91 to correct a speedometer error.

Most tire covers have some adjustment in the outer band to allow to fit several sizes of tires.
