Default 1994 G30 Van Will Not Start

I have a 1994 G30 6cyl van that will not start. I believe that it maybe an electrical issue because I bought a new battery, and hooked it up and it still will not start. When I turn the key nothing happens, no clicks, no cranking, nothing. Even with the new battery the lights etc don't work when I try them. I don't know if its relevant or not but I've also had some issues with the van stalling at a stop light if its a really long light. I would have to put the van in park and turn the key back on and it would start and go. I had thought that maybe a fuel filter issue, so I've ordered one and its coming in the mail. Any help with what maybe the issue would be greatly appreciated, TIA!!!

Do you have a volt meter? A test light?

It's hard to do anything without either. Time to buy some tools.

I have tools just not that particular item. And I live in my van and will not get my next disability check until the end of the month.

Is it safe to say that since nothing happened when I switched out the battery for a new one that the battery is most likely the cause of this issue? If its not then I can take it back.

You can make a test light by pulling a bulb and holding some wire to it. Just because it's a new battery doesn't mean it isn't dead. Did you have the problem before you replaced the battery? Was the old battery bad?

I thought it might be bad since I got nothing when I tried to turn the key. That is why I went and got a new one from Autozone. I will see what I can come up with for a test light.

I think I have figured out the issue. In the photo this is what's causing this problem all the little wires going to it cannot connect properly because it's loose and stripped it seems. Are there any suggestions for getting this bolt off?
