1997 Chevy Express 1500 Key Fob Programming Question
I am trying to program the remote for my 97 Chevy Express van. I have a paper clip that I connect to ports 4 and 8 on the OBD connector. After I plug in the paper clip to ports 4 and 8, nothing happens. The door locks are supposed to cycle and then be put into programming mode but they aren't. What am I doing wrong?

You're better off posting a new question, and you need to provide your vehicle details please. Can't help you without that.

it’s the exact same model as this poster so I was trying not to be repetitive. I’ve reposted the exact question in a new thread per your advice. Thx!
I installed an aftermarket key fob from amazon for $20. It works great.
