Default 2000 Express 3500 front end upgrade

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2000 Express 3500 with only 24k miles. I’ve looked around and seen some conflicting post about front end conversions. Do I have any options to upgrade to a newer/different models front end? Thank you

Weldtec Designs will sell you a kit to convert to the 2004+ front end.

Are you talking about the front end suspension or the headlight grille from a sealed beam type headlight to a headlight composite type? Pretty sure you can swap 2003 - 2019 models, so no (a 2000 Express will not swap) if that was your question.

Check this video :

There are no reasonable options for changing the front clip, the newer clip is much longer and coincides with the longer redesigned from frame section that came in 03. I did this mod, but I also used a newer frame that I had built seperately when designing/building my 4x4 conversion...even with the new frame it was a lot of work. My recommendation would be just to buy a newer van..
