2003 chevy savannah will idle until it gets hot. Have to be driving with both feet until the engine get hot.what would cause this problem. Thanks

 

Could be a ton of diff things. Best thing is to check for codes, so you know where to start. But checking the basics is good too. Pull the air filter, Change the fuel filter, check for corrosion under the dizzy cap on the 8 pins.....but I bet there is a code.

 

Thank canucklehead no check engine and I asked my friend to check codes he say there was no codes not sure what scanner he used but its a cheap one. What is dizzy cap just got the vanand previous owner gave me a receipt showing tune up was just done including new gas filter and air filter.thank for helping. Any other thoughts please let me know i appreciate

 

Sorry, your 03 is newer engine so no regular distributor cap.....missed that.
