Always nice to have a forklift , what does that weigh ?
A lot! Even heavier once i get the battery and electrics in the front end. Once complete I will weigh the whole lot and let you know.
It is very much a "version 1" build. The timber was all free, and this is my first project, so trying to do it as cheap as I can. I've no doubt that I will build a light weight "version 2" bed frame in the future, but this will suffice for now. When complete, I will clean all the wood up, and cover with cord carpet for a better finish.
The van is away for 10 days getting some top cabinets fitted and boxing in the wheel arches to gain a bit more storage.
Below are some of the build photos so far complete.
Jobs still to do:
1. weld up the roof rack to suit my needs
2. finish the kitchen unit.
3. design and build a solar shower from black soil pipe, and fit to the roof rack
4. design and build a tilting frame for the solar panel
5. design and build a swiveling, swing away bar and box for back
6. 270 degree awning purchase
7. roof rack awning lights and light bar for front of rack Bedbox check fit, removable anytime with a fork lift truck Ceiling insulation Ceiling insulation 12v DC control panel, isolator, Switch fuses, Victron BMV715 battery monitor Frontal floor insulation prior to ply and carpet tiles T&G ceiling planks installation, using self built ceiling air con vents (3 rows) T&G ceiling planks installation, using self built ceiling air con vents (3 rows) Insulation project Insulation project and keeping rear air con ceiling insulation Rear air con ceiling run Wall insulation Wall panelling Hook up point install on rear access step Bedbox electrics hook up from installed electrics Neat wiring, took me a LONG time!
