Climate Control Ligting

Greetings,
I just purchased a used 2015 Chevrolet Express 2500 and noticed that the climate control display does not light up. Is it supposed to? And if so, how can I fix it?

It must. How else would you see it in the dark? Yank it out and make sure there's power on the wires going to it.
