Hello all
I am new to the forum and have a question. I recently purchased a 93 Mark III wheelchair conversion van. The paint is peeling on the fender flairs and running boards and I would like to refinish them. They appear to be made of plastic or fiberglass. Does anyone know what they are made of so I can use the correct stripper on them. Klean-Strip Aircraft makes stripper for urethane flexible plastic and one for fiberglass.

typically they are fiberglass, from there i can't help much

 

yeah they are fiberglass, the flares and the running boards.

 

Thanks guys. Can't wait to get it done. That's the only real flaw in the exterior finish. Going to take some before pics today and after pics when it's done.

 

aye, know what you mean about the exterior. GM did awesome job on deciding on what paint to use.. Some were peelers, chippers or bakers.. My clearcoat got baked in the sun all those years, then when i wash, the suds turn reddish-brown. The g20 had a nice maroon/mahogany color, then at the end it turned flat-red-****-brown
