Default 99 express 3500 intermittent start please help

Originally thought fuel pump was bad . Replaced fuel pump with same problem. If I leave the battery unhooked for several hours van will start and run for between 2 and 10 minutes and then the fuel gauge pegs out and engine shuts off and I loose power to fuel pump and coil until I disconnect battery again .

Using OBD2 scanner to diagnose to know what wrong with your car before replacing anything. I think it maybe a low battery charge. You should check the battery, alternator, battery cables and wiring if one of them has issue or not.

No codes on scan . I’m thinking probably ecm but I don’t know if there is a way to test it before I buy a new one and if anyone knows where there may be problem prone wiring on this particular model . Battery and battery connections are all good.

My security light seems to be functioning properly only comes on briefly when I turn key on. No flashing or steady on. When I reset the computer it might run fine for up to ten minutes and while it is running fuel gauge reads normal. Fuel gauge pegs out just a split second before engine stalls. Also upon online investigation the security system will only kill fuel pump, not ignition coil supposedly

most of the time when a gauge pegs on the dash it is grounded.....thats how you usually check to see if a gauge works.. you ground the signal wire and watch the gauge peg.....you may have a ground problem with the tank sender and pump...
