Do you mean the AC defrost is blowing out other vents and not the dash defrost vents?

 

The mode doors are moved by vacuum actuators. There is a vacuum hose connection that is always getting kicked off. It is located in the passenger footwell. Lift up the floor liner near the passenger footwell and the doghouse. The line usually falls there.
