Default Alternator wiring harness upgrade

Considering upgrading from the 105A alternator wiring harness to a 145A alternator.

I understand you need to upgrade the harness to GM# 84090494: https://chevroletforum.com/forum/exp...52/#post491773

My question- how do I know if my harness was already upgraded or not?

There were two fusible links labeled 8.5mm, and the 3rd cable (not a fusible link) measured 10.9mm diameter.

I'd start by searching someplace like gmpartsdirect.com and see if that same part number comes up for your van.

With my VIN plugged in, it shows 84090494 as the cable. It says it replaces 15942156, 22777071. So I want to figure out which one I have first.

The link from my first post mentions this as well:

GM only lists this cable for all models now, it appears they have discontinued the smaller version that came on the van from the factory
