Those are good ideas.

Today I was driving home, the van almost all cleaned up, stereo working the best it has yet, and I started recalling all the ideas I had had since I had bought this truck. Even worse, all the ideas I committed money too. I just shake my head. Too much. DELETE. Throw em all in the garbage. I stay home too much, browse the net and THINK. That's half my problem. I start thinking. Then I overthink, instead of just keeping it real. Those are great simple ideas and you making me question, what can I find to carry underneath?

Not. Not going to go there unless I need to. But great ideas.

PS. A part of me still thinks the AMPS should go underneath. Maybe when I get back. It just seems simpler. Get 'em out of the cab and out of the way. Some place easy to access for adjustments and changes. Wooden boxes wrapped in Blue Seal. Would cost me next to nothing as I have everything. Right now I have to move them again, because the seats just rub slid all the way back.

I just know how much stuff I take with me , but if I needed to use them might take me 15 minutes to move stuff around to dig it out,

I think of these like a utility bed on a truck with lots of places to store things ,

If my job was converting Vans I would design a "glovebox" design that would mount to the chassis rails and snap on the lower body lip with a snap hook ,
A little like the overhead luggage on a plane.......

Hey @dberladyn , curious if you had to drill holes in your frame to mount those battery trays. Looking to do the same mod myself.

Thanks!

Nope. If you order the factory trays, bolts and clips, everything should be there. It's an easy job.

Hello, I am researching this upgrade. I want to be sure the battery tray hardware matches the frame on my 2019 G3500 Extended. Can someone please measure the holes on the factory battery holes on P/N 20970916 ?

Thank you!

I got something from Napa that I think was 26mm depth and they didn't quite fit. I got some of these U-nuts. The M8 screws and hold down are easy to find anywhere.
