Default Avg temperature in bonnet 1993 G30

Hi,

My Chevy g30 5.7l V8 1993 motorhome becomes very hot under the front bonnet.
I drive for 15-20 minutes and it becomes very hot under the hood.
Just completed flushing the radiator coolant and filled it back with new one.

Don't think the hot temperature is going any where.

Would like to get some opinions about the avg operating temperature under the front bonnet for 1993 Chevy G30 (RV)

Please note i am not a mechanic. Just trying to learn some thing about this.

Thanks.

When replacing the coolant did you burp the system ?
Another possibility is a bad fan clutch see
for tips.
Also like tech2 said... make sure your coolant temp is in the normal range. It could point to a bad thermostat.

Thanks for responding.
The upper radiator hose is very hot and lower one much lower heat compared to upper hose. So i am assuming the thermostat is good. Correct me if i am wrong.
The engine temperature never increased more than 1/4 of total guage. I think it starts with 100.

How to measure the coolant temperature?

Temp gauge on dash is coolant temp. They're not always that accurate.
