So again, you need to go get your alternator tested. It's free!
Was that photo taken with the van running? The voltage is too low. Your alternator is probably fried.

maybe about half an hour if you full charge the battery before you leave. No promises.

Alternators should definitely last more than two years (unless you have other issues going on)
Maybe the alternator isn't bad , and you just have some crusty wiring, in which case buying a new one won't do anything.
Always test + diagnose before throwing your wallet at problems.

From below, looks like. If there's no tensioner, then it's a pre-tensioned belt and you need a prybar or something to get it off. Is it slipping?
