I keep finding the remnants of a chipmunk's meals and heavy rains washing debris onto the top of my battery.

Taking the cell caps off shows some of this is washing under the caps if not getting into the cells.
I'm not confident debris does not get knocked into the cells when checking battery cell water level. There is no easy way to wipe the debris off with the caps off and the cells exposed.

I see some covers on the market but they are for top post batteries or vehicle specific.

Has anyone solved this nuisance issue?
