Bent driver door backwards, how to fix
I did a stupid move the other day: left my 2016 express driver door open, then backed up the car parked next to it, straight into the open door 🤦♂️. Now the door doesn't seal right, and rubs against the front fender, making the horrible screeching and popping noises everyone dreads. I figured it would be possible to replace the hinges, and see if they're the issue or if the whole body is twisted. But looking at the hinges, they seem welded on. I found replacement hinges online, but those look bolt-on. Am I correct that I have to cut off the welded hinges, and replace with the bolt on ones? Is this something I can do myself, or is it worth it to take it to the body shop? And why can I not find a single video or post anywhere about other people who have done this? I can't be the first one to have done this, right?
