I can tell you what to run. It's a shielded cable, RCAs at each end (male at the radio, female at the back), a 12v hot and ground (it doesn't have to be heavy, it low current), and then another pair for the "grid lines". I'll explain. There is a small jumper at the camera end, that you can choose whether you see those grid lines that most back up cameras have. I used a bad cable, so my idea didn't work, but if you switch that jumper, you can conceivably turn the grid on and off.

Oh, and while they say to hook power up at the back up lights, I used the radio power, to be able to use it to keep an eye on my trailer.(My head unit allows manual control of the camera).

GREAT info... like we have talked before about our Stereos... I am excited to
get both Cameras for mine.. as we have talked I actually have 2 video inputs on
my Stereo... and I plan on having 2 cameras I do like the idea of being able to
push a button on my Stereo and watch which ever camera I choose.
For me.. I want one on the back of the van.. and another on the back of my
Airplane Hauler....
STAN I even thought about having 3 lol .. and I had thought about an A.V
switch... using that switch I can then in theory... switch between two
different video cameras... lol....

I have two vid inputs as well. I'm saving my second one for a digital TV tuner, so I could watch local news and such.

I have something that may work as a "big screen". It's a computer monitor, that works on 12 volts. I just have to get an adapter.

There you go... that would work...
side note I am debating on raising the floor....
to the top of the wheel wells and utilize all that under storage space...
but part of me says dont do it... cause then I would not be able to
use the van for other things if needed... I am just torn in that decision.
Ive got some decisions to make before I get to carried away with
the interior... lol

It would depend on what you're gonna do with the van. If you're fitting it with seats, it will be too high, and you'll hit your head on the ceiling. If you're building a bed like I did, don't go too high or you'll have headroom issues as well. I went too high, and am going to redo it 2 to 3 inches shorter. I decided on building a bed because I was tired of sleeping on the floor of my last van.

Default BED in The VAN

If I do it this way.. I will use 3/4 thick ply... layed right on top of the
wheel wells..... and then start my 2x4 frame work from there... that way
I have the maximum head room I possibly can have ....
when I decide to use that area as a bed I will use an Air up mattress
for the bed... and when not in use it will be a raised floor.
that my idea anyways...
