STAN... I have been busy yet again today... lol and I would like some assistance if all possible...
I bought 2 subs and an AMP...
Now I am wanting help with is the best way to connect these to my Head Unit.
I think I have the basics... Power... with Fuse...
wire that turns on AMP from Head Unit...
RCA cable to connect Head Unit to Amp
of course dont forget the Ground.....
but here is were it becomes fuzzy for me... in the past you mentioned to me about ohms. 2 and 4
well I read the info on my AMP and its Bridgeable ( what ever that means ).... so I take it I can push 2 or 4 Ohms
what ever I desire... so please tell me whats the best way to connect the amp to the Subs. now keep in mind
they are 12 inch subs... with a 82oz magnets. if thats desired information.
here are pics
Keep in mind the box is temporary.. till I get my storage boxes complete were the subs will be installed. but I figured
I would just get them wired up and listen to them make sure everything is working well..

I ordered another wheel for the spare and purchased another Tire like the others that I bought.
so now I have matching spare if ever I need it.
It will look like the others. I will say this ... it fits under the Van ( JUST ) ... lol I could not
see trying to put any bigger wheel and tire under there lol.

Cool. Bridgeable means that if you're running one sub, you can channel L and R output of the amp for twice the power. Not something you can do with two subs. As far as 2 vs 4 ohms, is there a switch on the amp? If so, use the best setting to match the rating of the subs. If there is no switch, as my former(and favorite) boss used to say, "Race On It". Hopefully, you've got subs that come close to matching the amp.

If you want to do this exactly right, here's a link for some good info for setting up an amp;

https://www.vanning.com/threads/ubbt...ink#Post541059

In a subsequent post, I updated some of the links inside this post a month or so ago.

As far as the enclosure goes, you might want to incorporate that box in to what you build. Speaker enclosures have been designed to work well with the correct interior space. In other words, exact cubic square footage. There's science in them there boxes, boy!

Time for another vodka.

Okay, you posted that second pic as I was responding. Here's the problem.

A lot of equipment has similar features, and you don't want to double up on them. LPF & HPF are a couple. Your head unit probably has these as well. And your best bet is to leave the amp settings flat, and use the settings in the head unit, just for ease of adjustment. And bass boost as well. Read your manuals. It can easily confuse, so I will be around (as always) this evening.

And I promise to not allow the vodka to answer for me.

how setting the darn thing .... sure I did it by sound but this radio has so many
variables its unreal.. just have to learn my Radio I guess.....
