Hi guys!

we have been away for a while, on a van dwellers campers gathering actually...

Ron, which shocks did you choose? Price? And why did you decide to replace them?

Stan, I saw somewhere you bought a set, but I can't find where I saw that now?
which ones did you buy and why that particular set?

mine has a huge thump whenever we roll over a crack or a toothpick!!
Im thinking shocks might be in my immediate or very near future???

Ron got the same shocks as I did. They were suggested by another member here. Ron and I replaced them for different reasons. Mine were stiff, with only 24k, but Ron's were done, with 12 years of service. I was told these would smooth out the ride, and after only doing the front ones (time!), I can say they do exactly that. Stan gave ya a link for the shocks.... I think it shows the price... its money well
spent I drove it for the first time.. taking the van to a local Truck Parts seller and installer...
why you ask that I took it there.. well I was to lazy to do the work... they installed
the New Running boards for me... and had No problem at all going around

mine is a 2008. So your thinking they would fit?
also, shipping looks like it will be $32 bucks?!!!
Omg, that's pricey....

do ya think I would need a impact wrench to get the old ones off?

and thx for letting me me muck up your build thread....

Dan you didnt muck anything up.. its great hearing from you ...
I sent several messages to the person that I bought from
with NO REPLY... I had several questions concerning the shocks
if you read back a few pages I illistrated what concerns I had
STAN looked up the fit for the year.. even though they say that
I own a 2006... and they fit on my van...... so I wouldnt worry at
all....
as far as taking your old ones off... I ended up using vise grips
and a wench on the top.... as far as the bottom frt I used socket
and ratchet.... the rear was the opposite top used long extension
socket and ratchet and the 2 wrenches for the bottom...
we talked about how long it took us to do the job... it wasnt long
the average guy with the right tools.. couple hours... easy...

Dan, I cross referenced the fitment of the shocks. What I found was Chevy and GMC fit the same, according to Rock Auto.. Fronts '03 to '16, rear '96 to '16. So the link is what fits your van, just like Ron's and mine
