Stan you may be right..
that I am not to sure of.. it was already done
when I bought the van... but if it was wouldnt
it have pushed the metal out instead of in>?
My other trailers have Electric brakes...
that is what you would want the 7 pin for...
I have 3 trailers.. that have them....
so I need both... lol...

I think the 7 pin also has a charging circuit for a trailer battery.

The bottom of the door is curved inward to start with. I think it would bend easier in the direction it was already shaped in. Just a guess.

I will be checking into that .. I know that it carries power back to the trailer for
the electric brake system.. but I wasnt aware that it charges as well..
My kid and his family are in from florida have been here since sat...
not much in the way of doing mods .... but I do have a few packages
that showed up.... lol...
P.S.. my tranny temp has not exceeded 161.degrees..while I was
pulling my 16 ft trailer loaded with Welders cabnet and BIG Plastic
Shed 7ft x 7ft from lowes.. lol...
So next question.... what is the average Trans temp every one is running
while driving.... ???????

I'll check it out today, and report. I won't be towing, but it could be a good baseline.

Twscarp

thats a great idea.... I should have taken a picture...
So while others start posting their findings... I will say I have
done a little work... or I should say I have had some work done to it...
I had my buddy at his Transmission shop.... take a look at mine
and do a tranny fluid and filter change as well as adding a 3 quart
more deep B&M Pan.... and a bigger tranny cooler... connected
in series with the radiator... so as sure I wanted to do a comparrison
I could not cause it was still cold here at the time the work was done
so I am asking for others that have the PID... check out your temps..
and post here for comparrison.

Default Mirrors

OK.. so the next project I wanted to tackle before getting ready to go out to eat tonight...
was a small easy one... I wanted some different mirrors.. well after looking at all that
is offered I kept my one piece mirror and installed an add on mirror from E-Trailer...
once I drive the van with the trailer behind it I will know if they work...
I had a hard time finding the trailer in the mirror while backing up....
I think this will fix that problem...

On my way to my Tuesday night swarray at the marina, I read 186. It was 81 degrees here this afternoon. On my way home just after 9, it read 175, and the temperature had dropped to 65ish.

Is that some sort of rear spoiler on the roof?
