Default Brake line fittings sizes??

Hey all. Having trouble replacing the line from the abs module to the front wheel cylinder. What size line and fitting should that be? Couple different sized lines under there and the one in question was cut and crimped by someone who wasn't me, so I'm not sure what size it's supposed to be. Existing fitting won't fit the line we picked up from the parts store of course, but I don't know which size to order. Thanks!

They are side specific. I got newer ones off a burb in jy. Could not stop the leak from copper washers on banjo bolt. Swapped sides and I've not had a problem since. Guessing he had trouble with yours and he macgyvered it

wheel cylinders are only used in the rear. the fitting you need its is at the front flex line, caliper or abs pump?

lines to the front flex lines are most likely 3/16". to determine if the fitting is metric or imperial you need to look at the flare. if its double flare its imperial, if its and iso flare/bubble flare its metric.

Oh duh, I was going off of something I read on another forum, not vehicle-specific. I definitely have calipers in the front. Anyway, the fitting at the wheel end fit (into the flex line) but we couldn't get the one at the abs unit. It's the line from ABS to the front driver wheel, and the fitting i need is at the ABS pump.

yep. My partner drove the van to work and the brakes went out in his work parking lot (good timing!) So we had a mobile mechanic come out and swap lines from a junk van(oregon, so no rust) so he could get it out of there, but as he was testing it another line sprung a leak so he just crimped it off to limp it home.

I've found more new parts at junkyards than you would believe. Especially gvans where they put lots of parts on its before they surrendered. Just take your part to compare and look at same year pickups and suv/Van's. Longer hose is ok but not shorter. Dont know if it helped but put thread sealant on mine . Hasn't used a drop in 2 years
