Did they make a full floating dual wheel disc brake rear axle setup?
I have a 2001 G3500 that I'm assuming has 411s. Currently my Cutaway has a full floating rear end. After completing what was close to a coast-to-coast trip - from east to west and back; I want to change the final drive ratio and while I'm at it - I wouldn't mind having rear disc brakes. Did they make a full floating dual wheel disc brake rear axle setup? IF NOT - What rearend can I get with dual wheels and disc brakes that will easily swap / fit my G3500?

You don't have to guess. Check the RPO codes on the door jamb sticker.

I've never seen a van with factory dual wheels.
Of course you could look at a pickup truck donor, but it is my understanding that the van axle track width and offset is unique. This could always be checked with a tape measure.

easier said than done. it requires reprogramming of multiple control modules and finding someone who can do it. There's a topic about it somewhere in this forum section.
my bad I overlooked the part about cutaway.
well apparently it does exist ... at least in the 2019 GM Commercial brochure.
Not sure about brakes though. But realise that even semi trucks use drum brakes. I think they're just better for weight.
I best not be looking at newer cutaways. LOL After building my first Toy Hauler - I now want a longer wheelbase, different engine and a bigger sleeper box. Grin
I have until next year to decide about the final drive and disc brakes. We aren't use to rust free vehicles here and I got this one from out west in 2019. So, I put it away for the winter.
