Default Dipstick Holder Removal from trans

We are attempting to remove the dipstick holder from the transmission in our 1995 Conversion van (350 engine, 4L60E transmission) but can't seem to get it out. It appears to be press fitted in, but we don't want to force it out if it is not. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Per my Corvette L98 350 service manual, the tube is pressed in. I tried to remove mine once, would not budge. I was trying from the top though.

Think the better way is drop the pan and use a punch to get it out.

EDIT: WHOOPS! Missed the important word, Transmission. I'll check my manual for that.

My '87 Corvette tranny is a 700-R4, it has a seal around the tube. And further up the tube, it's bolted to the transmission. Sorry if no help.

Ahem, Kael should really pay attention if he's reading a new post or one he searched for.

Sorry everyone!
