Ron, do you have any of the symptoms in that bulletin? I've had the "StabiliTrak DIC messages and DTCs" one. It goes away when I remove the ELM, but it only happens occasionally, and usually when I don't turn on the tablet.

Here is some good info.....

Unfortunately the TPM PID's are proprietary and GM charges the scan vendors $$$ for PID info and update Subscriptions, therefore they are not publicly available. As mentioned in previous posts if you can find the PID's you can enter them into the low cost Torque app.

So for us to have different PID codes someone else would have to share them, thus me looking around and scavenging for them lol

Default TPMS PID's

Just remember with tires there really is no easy way of knowing which of the 4 corresponds with which tire unless you mess around with pressures and take note that way. the pids correspond to the tpms sensor and not the location. Personally I leave it named by number this way when I rotate tires I don't have to keep renaming them

Hi StanVan, just wondering why you didn’t start this thread with a little history of the ELM327 device? A simple Wikipedia check would work, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELM327, and ELM Electronics https://www.elmelectronics.com/?v=7516fd43adaa. I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but all (as far as I can tell), all of the ELM327 scanners, are pirated clones (the actual function of these pirate clones is nonetheless limited to the function of the original ELM327 v1.0, with inherent deficiencies), except for one, ELM327 Bluetooth Original ELM327 2.2 Genuine ELM Electronics on eBay, (cut-and-paste this description in eBay’s search box). From what I know, all will have version 1.4, not version 2.2, except the one I noted above, even the Total Diagnostics from Australia claiming 2.1 is actually v1.4. I'm not saying they do not work (the clones), apparently many of them do. What I’m trying to do is inform the members of the forum, that they will not receive an up to date and current version. An app ELM327 Identifier (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...entifier&hl=en) will identify the precise version.

I was hoping people like you would chime in and post info, either stuff you posted in "Best Upgrades" or fresh items recently found. And you did not disappoint.

As far as the TPMS info goes, I can scroll through the info center and match up the different tires. I had no idea there was tire temp. I wonder if it's reaction time is such that, with tablet in hand, I can use that when I'm airing up the tires, and there isn't a gauge on the air line. That would be so cool.

In studying the PIDs, there are min and max values, that top out at 50. My pressures are in the 70s. I'll play with it, so I'll report on that.
