Default Express Van factory trailer wiring harness...

Own a 2012 Express van. It came with a factory trailer wiring harness. I was able to get an adapter from E-Trailer that allowed me to connect the multi-pin connector (installed at the factory) to a standard 7 pin trailer connector. The connector works great for left and right turn signals, stop and parking lights. I want to add a Tekonsha Progity P2 brake controller. I assume that one of the factory wires going from the trailer connector to the front of the vehicle is for a brake controller. Where does the wire land in the front of the vehicle?

this is a guess, but I think there might be a connector up under the dash by your brake pedal that your harness would plug in to. My van does not have the factory tow option, so again, that is a guess.

Hi, I have that option. I found the connector under the dash, above the Brake Pedal. You need a GM to Tekonsha adapter harness if you don't want to cut any wires. I haven't mounted mine yet, because I haven't chosen a location.

I'd like to see a pic of yours when you are done.

I found it. There are four wires looped and taped together with the harness bundle. The ends are simply taped up. They were just under the floor mat under the brake master cylinder. They even have a tag identifying what each wire is for. There is the following...
Wire to brake connection on the trailer connector.
Wire for + power to the brake controller (fused)
Wire for - power to the brake controller
Wire for high mount stop light (fused) (actuates the brake controller)

Do you happen to know which fuse the power wire goes to? I'm trying to figure out why I don't have power on the red wire in that factory harness under the dash.
