2003 express 3500
While doing a pitman and idler arm the pitman came off the center link with out issue. Slid the gear box rearward and it came right off.
the idler needed a lot of persuading. Not only did moving the steering box break a soon to failing low pressure line , the banging let the box fall more backward and the intermediate shaft came apart at the slip joint.

it doesn’t seem to want to go back together

do I have to remove the hole thing to get this right?

hope I’m not the only idiot who let this happen.
