Default Help! In rural WV, all exterior lights not working!

Fuses fine, no exterior lights at any switch setting, upper beams light if you hold steering column switch in.

Not much to go on here. What year? It would appear that there is a problem with the switch or wiring. You need to get your meter and start testing voltage to and from the switch.

Sorry, thought vehicle was listed in my profile. It's a 2006 Express 3500 cutaway cube van. I'm suspecting the switch, no meter with me, will have to try and get home during daylight hours.

Is there something special about rural WV? Gets just as dark there as everywhere else.

Anyway, do you have auto on headlight feature? Sensor issue?

I'm just guessing, but it could be wiring, the switch, the bcm..

I believe the bcm actually controls the lights, the switch is just an input device for the bcm. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.

Frustrating problem, but I bet when you find out what it is you'll feel like it was so simple!

Thanks dberladyn, I think you're right, will start with switch, ordered one earlier today, dash light button was broken anyway. Nights always seem darker when away from home greenfire, home for me use to be Monroe, NY, where I grew up, "Lakers" friends at MW. Will look into sensor once back in Baltimore, hadn't occurred to me. Thanks!
