My bad, newest I've owned was a 07. I've seen alot of vehicles where the clear coat blisters, but not on a cargo van. Pickups seem to have much better paint too. Yours built in Canadian plant?

I've seen gravel chip the paint but it doesn't cause de-lamination ? Paint and primer should be bonded and like one! at least to my non professional view point...

I see a bunch of vans driving around with the same kind of issue...

Also read up on the paint problems from before(90's) with the automotive safety board...link

Anybody else have this going on???

pics?

frustrating...
yes! My husband also has a 2007 Chevy express cargo with the same problem but even worse! Is Chevrolet doing anything about this? I too, have seen several that have the same peeling paint problem

2007 is way beyond warranty so GM wouldn't be obligated to do anything.

I just repainted my 08 hood. It started last year. Fortunately the rest is still good. I was told to keep the nicks touched up to prolong the paint life. I also added one of the plastic hood protectors thinking that if I would have done that earlier, maybe I wouldn't of had to repaint.

I have been considering spraying mine with black plasti-dip for something different. Or could go with the vinyl sticker option,

Spray it yourself with white appliance epoxy with clear coat over. Was $4.99 a can. Had same prob on my 07 with paint peeling away on hood, above windshield and wheelwells. Knew people painted some boats with appliance epoxy so I tried,it looked decent and quit peeling. You'll want to sand edge of old paint wery smooth to look good

My hood paint job still looking good. Went through and touched up the edge of the RF fender and body edge behind the drivers door. I just know that someday I'll look back and a sheet of paint will be missing where I least expect it.
