Default How do you get the DVD player to work?

Hello! I hope I am in the right place. We just purchased a 2002 GMC Savana high top van. The TV works and the DVD player lights come on, but it doesn't play on the TV. Is there something we are missing or does it just not work as we suspect? Thanks in advance! I actually have a lot more questions, but we'll start with that one.

Is this all factory stuff, or aftermarket?

Dan, GM doesn't do TVs and DVD players or high tops for that matter. All conversion vans are done by dedicated companies.

These have different monitor, tv, dvd player inputs and outputs. Mind you this particular one is from 2006, but I have not studied yet to see if GM build a passenger truck with different drop down screens, etc. The Yukon, Suburban, Silverado, Buick and Cadillac models get those features, so I thought perhaps some of the fully loaded vans may have. This deck was an option. It plays DVD's.

That would explain why I can't find anything on it. The title says 2002 GM Savana. Evidently it's a StarCraft add-on. I obviously know nothing about it. *slapping forehead*

This is what I bought.

Dan, aside from head units obviously.

I am assuming TYOzzy has separate units.

Starcraft shed its van conversion operations in 2001. Shame. They started in 1903 making livestock watering tanks.
They "formed Conversion Warranty, Inc., in 2002, to provide all van conversion customers one central source to serve their service and parts replacement needs."
(I can't find any links to it, so who know if it's still around)

These 3rd party companies seem to be supporting current owners:

Thanks! I just stumbled across that site a few minutes ago. Hopefully they will be able to assist. I appreciate everyone's input.

For best amplifiers click here.
Hi.

So, your DVD player seems to work, but there is nothing on TV.
Do you swithc manually from TV to DVD, or it swithches automatically when you start the DVD?

In addition to possibly broken DVD player, a cable might be disconnected.

Hope that will help.
