Default How to temporarily disable airbags to work on the headliner?

Hello - I need to detach the headliner to access and re-wire a fantastic fan. The fan is positioned in the middle of the headliner and there are airbags between pillars on both sides. How do I temporarily disable the airbags so I can safely work on the headliner and re-wire the fan?

Thanks

disconnect the battery and wait 5 minutes for the capacitors to discharge.
