Yes with enough rigging you can pull a vehicle backwards with a winch on front.

I debated a rear mounted winch but didn’t want to deal with relocating the spare tire.

Plus I always wanted to do my own hidden winch mount.

I can almost see little fans on the trans cooler, could you tell me anything about them I have added a cooler there and was thinking of a fan or two. Your install looks like maybe you replaced a stock cooler?
@ Oilcan I know what you mean my rig requires the front plate, just that it seams most states don’t.

Correct - swapped out the stock small and thin transmission oil cooler for quite a bit larger and thicker Mishimoto oil cooler. Then added dual SPAL 5.2" fans on a manual switch - my theory there was if I'm stuck in slow moving or no moving traffic and its hot out then I can get a bit of air circulation. Will see how it goes this summer.

One of these days I need to get that hard line cut and routed a bit better looking.

if you're not moving, then the transmission isn't working hard.

Also, that's what the engine cooling fan is for.

In a perfect world one would hope. But after my last Express I learned that in stop and go traffic when outside temps were high it wouldn't keep the temps down when towing (motor and trans). I figured it couldn't hurt to add them.

Many states do not, but in the state and town I live in the Fuzz will do a 180 with smoking tires to pull a person over and issue a citation for not having a front plate, even if it means possibly causing an accident in the cop doing so since the police union will back the cop up no matter what he does. That is why we don't call the fuzz here. They are worthless to so many of us.

I live in California, and the state wants its money since so many people are leaving this place as it becomes "Mexico del Norte", bringing the tax money down. They don't care who gets harmed, as long as they get that citation money $$$. It truly is all about the money here. San Francisco is dead now.

Yeah, a Chevy Corvette looks like crap with a front plate, but that is the law, until it is not, once we have a Mexican Governor in place and it really is Nothern Mexico. At that point, I am long GONE with all the other Gringo's.

I don't mind. I grew up with many legal Mexican people and my best friend in life was Mexican-American, so it's not a racial thing with me whatsoever.

Life goes on and one day the US will no longer have CA as a state at all.

And hopefully an automatic air-cooled transmission oil cooler. My father burned up his pickup truck transmission early without one, hauling a s**t ton of diesel engine motor oil and hydraulic fluids through a s**t-ton of very sandy soil. I had to add on that Hayden transmission fluid cooler myself.

Thumbs up Winch inside bumper

Greetings

Any idea who can help me to install the winch the same way you did? How much it would cost? Already have the winch. or would you recommend have it in back in a hitch plate to install when needed? Any advice?

Rey
