Default Instrument Cluster bulbs are dim

Below is a photo showing my instrument cluster. The lights are real dim. My owners manual (yes, I have one!!) says that some are PC194 and some are PC168. Does anyone know which ones go where and will new ones be brighter that what I have now?

Are you sure that you do not a problem with the dimmer switch?

I don't think I do. I've turned it to the right and the lights go dark. The lights just seem very dim to me. I've ordered new PC194 with bases included. Will try that for a solution.

The large one right above the 4 in pc194 and the ones like it are the general illumination bulbs. If the new bulbs and bases are not an improvement, you could try cleaning all the contacts on the board. Careful though its very thin strip of copper....
