Default Need help with sliding door 1999 Chevy Express

Anyone know where I can find a guide to repair sliding door? Both inside and outside handles don’t unlock door. Rod latch disconnected. Is the rod missing a plastic piece? Does anyone know which piece?

I think you might be missing the plastic piece on the bottom left that in the pic doesn't have the linkage connected to it. Mines a 2015 but these things haven't changed that much so maybe it's the same.

Had to make a new account because of login issues. Wow.

I think im having issues at the other end of the door. Towards the back of the van my rod has popped out. My handle side is still connected

It might still be the same clip. Maybe one of these will work?

if the clip isn't where it's supposed to be, then it's in the bottom of the door

I wish that was the case but I bought it from someone who was fiddling with a lot of stuff before I got the van. The van didn’t even run when I bought it. But I got an excellent deal because the person was so over trying to fix it

You were right. Found a rear latch assembly on ebay for sale and it had the right clip on it. Its one of the ones in that same kit. Also I was trying to connect it on the wrong spot lol
