Default Need new Gas Tank

I have a 2003 Express with the Left Hand Side Doors. I haven’t been able to find a new gas tank. I believe the LH Side Doors was a 1 year only option, although I haven’t been able to confirm that. The VIN number is 1GAGG25U931198151. Can anyone help?

Default Need New Gas Tank

Where the fill neck attaches to the tank has a crack. There have had 2 different shops that have tried to fix/repair with no luck. I hade searched high and low for a new tank. I figured I would try this forum hoping someone would know someone who had one of these tanks hidden away.

Default Plastic welder ?

In the case of a plastic tank - did the shop lads try Plastic Welding? I cannot imagine why that wouldn't work if done by someone who knows how.

Plastic welders are so inexpensive now I would just do it myself if it were me. Nothing to lose - the unrepaired tank is Already bad. <g>
