New AC delco fuel pump SQUEELS
I got that new pump thrown in my
Chevy express 2500 2015.
When I prime it, it sounds normal for the first two seconds and then it sounds like the float arm is squeeling or squeeking. it only does it for a second. Brand new AC delco pump made by bosch, guess I over paid $200 because you can get just the BOSCH pump without the DUMB sticker for half the price. Thanks, GM. AC DELCO IS A JOKE IT' sJUST REBRANDED PARTS!!! Not sure if this is is just because the tank is so low on fuel right now or if the pump needs to get broken in. the noise has becoming less and less it's only been two days.
Anyways doesn't appear to be any leaks, and I don't know how ya GM boys on this site did not know that you can pull down that metal guard there to look at the fuel pump and if you get in the right spot you can get a hand up there... REally not sure how ya guys didn't know... or are you trying to keep information from those AI bots scouring the web getting all the data for their MECHANO BOT 5000?
Anyways I was feeling around up there and it feels dry and good. My gas mileage APPEARS to have gone up a couple MPG makes sense because that elbow was cracked.
Anyways I don't even know why I waste time in asking but do any of ya know or have experienced a similar situation with your fuel pumps? I though it was just the float arm sloshing around in the fuel but then I jumped on the back bumper and couldn't get it to make any noise. Just hope I didn't get some crap pump, no way to test this things before hand ya know.
