Default overhead console - storage ideas ?

Just wondering if anyone have made or adapted from another car / truck / van something to store stuff across the front with the visors ,
or down the center for lights gauges etc

This is one I found on Google images , but I do not think Chevy made them for Express vans !

Years ago i bought a shelf from j c wittney for my 87 g30 that you removed the visors then mounted the shelf [it goes all the way across the top of the windsheild] and placed the visors on to it but you stored them backwards [folded forward] from stock poisstion . Still works great and you can attach like cb , gps , etc. To the flat bottom because it's made of fuzzy [like colored carpet] covered metal [alum. I think]. I am not sure if there still making them but couldn't hurt to look . Just trying to help and good luck finding what you want .

I wouldn't make one that hangs low like that. Looks cool and all, but it would hurt in a wreck.

My '93 Astro had one. It hung down about 2 to 3 inches.

My 2001 Chevy Express Van 1500 LT passenger van came with this overhead console. It has the rear AC controls, reading lights, three built in garage door openers, a storage bin for my wife's sunglasses, and a storage bin for CD's as well as one of the two video monitors for the VHS tape player in the center console around the "dog house." I have added a sunglasses holder from a Chevy Aveo and an analog altimeter.
