I don't think you need locktite there. It gets destroyed by heat anyway. Corrosion is a bigger issue. I would have used anti-seize.
That's not good. Bolts should never bottom out. I've seen people destroy blocks that way. Make sure you didn't mix them up.
I think I can barley shove my fingernail under bolt head,if I can't should I back it out a 1/4 turn? didn't you mean destroy head instead of block?
when I get around to spark plugs (that I do antisieze) I'll antisieze the clamp bolts.
BTW doe's 04 vans have undersized header bolts rephrase do all GM LS engine have undersized header bolts?
same ?s for the down pipe top of Y-pipe that connects to headers those are are weak and break when trying to remove even after soaking a day earlier.
No. Then it will be loose. Make sure the hole is clean inside (blow it out). Use an extra washer if need be.

anti-seize full of metal power so it's conductive, and it's difficult to clean up. so be super careful or you'll get arcing.
Some plugs even say on the box "do not apply antiseize"
