Default Rain water inside doorframe of van

Just bought a 2002 Express 2500 Explorer Conversion Van. Noticed rust at bottom of front passenger door step. Then after recent hard rain, opened passenger door and large amount of water drained out of door frame. Did some initial investigation to look for broken door seal or hole in top of frame or in rain gutter at bottom of fiberglass high top roof. Didn't see anything obvious. Wondering if anyone has experienced this, and what is the fix?
Thanks.

rust at the bottom front of door step isn't unusual.

Can you post a photo of exactly where you saw the water drained from?

I am pointing to the rubber door seal on the bottom. That's where the water drips out. The other day after a heavy rain

when we lifted the seal up, about a quart of water poured out.

There should be drain holes along the bottom of the door behind that rubber and I can see one at the front corner . Be sure they are clear.
I park my van on an angle and water drains out of it whenever I move it.

there shouldn't be THAT much getting in. I would check the gaskets on the door handles and stuff.
