Default Door Leak!

Last year I noticed my drivers side front and passenger floor areas were wet. Removed the carpet and padding. Both were soaked from the bottom up. Removed the hood and plastic shroud under the windshield. Found the first leak was the seam sealant used in the hollow space below the windshield. Was similar to sponge material. Removed and sealed the area with some 3M seam sealant. Replaced the padding and carpet thinking I was done. Two months ago while vacuuming out the Burb found more water under the floor mats. Once again pulled carpet and padding so things could dry out. Tonight I witnessed water coming inside from behind the drivers door panel. The liner behind the door is intact and hasn't been removed.

Not exactly sure where to go from here. The door drains seem to be open. The door isn't filling up with water and then coming inside.

Any one seen this or have any suggestions?? Just want to get this fixed so I can pass this truck on to some one else.

do you have a sunroof. the drain tubes come off and water will run down the A and B pillars.

Maybe you jumped the "sunroof gun" there a bit. I noticed water coming inside from behind the plastic door panel of the drivers door.

the door drains are below the door seal. the door could fill with water but should drain below the weatherstrip and not into the vehicle.

good luck with that.

This has to be something weird going on. The water is coming in through the holes where the door panel fastens to the metal door. But yet the door isn't full of water.
We had a hard rain here last night and I noticed this morning the passenger door on the drivers side doing the same thing. Water actually stands on top of the inner door seal then runs inside the truck.

If you are confident the leak is from the doors; remove the trim panels and barrier and have someone spray the area around the door while you watch for leaks from inside.

Jumping the gun...sheesh! Ask for suggestions and then say that.
