So if I do replace these springs myself am going to buy everything from the dealer, can be done by vin. No shipping and free returns. Unbelievably the parts the GM websites are showing are not much different in price from other retailers and cheaper if I have to pay shipping. Going to stop at the local Chevy dealer and see what prices and availability are in the next couple days. Unless you have some buying suggestions?

Spring shop is $625 each or rearch $500 for pair I remove and drop off. 2 different dealers gave me prices part # 84205631 $435, 84205631 $433. Buying online about $300 each and I pick up at Chevy dearler with different part number 15225240, Online sites say the 84205631 do not fit my 01 Chevy 3500 when searching with vin number.

Parts search for this thing was a pain with lots of conflicting info on line. I ordered from a online Chevy source and having parts delivered to dealer. For about $50 more on a $800 order than parts giant I do not have to worry about returning hassles or cost. Just take it back to dealer. I accidentally found a set of 8 leaf springs on Ebay with the part number clearly displayed so I knew I was ordering the right part. Also found a picture of the bolt I thought was a stud.
