Hi all. Just ordered Express 3500 EXT Diesel 2LT. I would like to add a rear view camera on back with a video display in the front cockpit.

Does anybody know of some good systems, particularly one that would install up high in lieu of the 3rd brake light above the rear panel doors?

Hey, if you look at pep boys, I believe they have a couple of rear view cams. I also believe one of them is wireless, which makes life a little easier.
The cams also come with a wide angle lens and mount at the top of the license plate so there won't be any brake light interference.

mobile video.com has 3rd brake light cameras for the express. The camera is built in the assembly. they look to be the same that is an option on the chevy express conversions. Little pricey but a clean look@ 299.99. That is for the camera only, you have to get your own monitor

 

What a great idea! I have known about these for some time but after driving my '87 2500 I think one of these would really help out. There are some on Ebay that are built right into a license plate frame, that would work well for my purposes however for you Advance Auto sells one from Peak that might work okay.
