me too. Take some door measurements. plenty of junked vans. many have spare tire mounts on the back door.

Well my solution to this problem has become to get a box trailer to use on my trips that will have 2 spare tires on it the same size as the trailer tires so I will be set no matter which tire goes on me. In the city it's true I rarely need a spare since I always have CAA or AAA as you Yanks call it. I want to utilize the vast area between the frame rails for a tool storage area. Take a look under there sometime and see how much room there actually is. also I hate those cable holders for spares since they rust and break or make it impossible to use at the worse possible times.
