Default Ride quality reg v extended wb

Hey whats up folks

I am getting ready to order anew build and trying to figure out what's the best route to go ---regular wheelbase v extended. I test rode the 3500 passenger extended and was a little too harsh. So I am leaning to the 2500 series passenger but not sure what is the best option. Also what can be done with spring/shocks to give the best ride ( street use)

Thanks

What are you doing with it? Towing? Passengers? Cargo? My 3500 extended rides much better with cargo in the back, it kind of sucks empty. I have Gabriel Ultras on my van.

I swapped out the shocks, and dramatically improved the ride. I got a set of Ridetech shocks, front and rear. Still rides somewhat like a truck, but it's much better.

I did the same. I did new front springs (GM) and all 4 Gabriel Ultra shocks. The old shocks were completely shot so it definitely improved the ride quality afterwards.

I think my regular wheelbase does ride a little better, it's a 2500 but has the same GVW package as the 3500 and even though it's old and worn it drives pretty comfortably. Typically they ride better with some weight inside, the heavy duty suspension will be more bouncy with less pressure on it.
