Default Scanner Needed

Need a scanner recommendation to bleed a 2001 GMC Savana van ABS module. Can't seem to find one, Might have to take it to the mechanic. Spoke to an Autel Tech who tried a Maxicheck Pro and a $4000. unit and said that wouldn't do it.
Have emails out to Launch and Foxwell.

tFoxwell rep got back to me'
Recommendation:

Anybody use this on an early 2000 GM vehicle with an ABS bleed with success?
At $169.00 I'm very doubtful, but who knows?

Tried Autoenginuity. Sent me back a printout. None of their scanners will do the job. Including one for $4000.00

Foxwell said they had one, but they lied. Customer Service rep recommending useless equipment and then saying they'll charge a return fee if the recommended tool doesn't work.

not sure what you want to spend; there are used tech 2 scanners for $400. the tool is obsolete after 2016 models.

I figure a budget of $800.00 if the scanner could be used on multiple manufacturers.

The GM Tech2 scanner seems to fit the bill. Cheap enough to be a dedicated Gm tool and geared to do the job.
Looking at various ABS manufacturers. Haynes ABS Systems manual (published 2000)has GM using the, Kelsey-Hayes(Lucas Verity) system until 1998. Did they still use this system in 2001 ?
Thanks

That will be hard to find in that range. maybe a used genysis by otc if its capable.
I'm reluctant to buy old scan tools that are obsolute and/or require $1000 updates.
I'd rather spend $140 at a dealer to have them bleed it.

this site has some scanners. autorepairmanuals.biz
