Secondary Batery
Hello All,
So Im planning to install a secondary batery for the electronics in my travel Van (screen, playstation, Blueray, etc) and I found information for the oem batery tray, but not for the rest of the OEM diesel installation (wiring, isolator, fuses) How is the diesel secondary batery connected?

Okay, try this one on for size. On some gas models, a second battery is energized in to the system by a relay that senses a charge from the alternator. This is done so a depleted aux battery won't drag down starting the engine. I don't know which years have that wire, but I hope mine has it when I can add an aux battery.

That wire is supposed to be in the harness somewhere. I would guess it is under the drivers seat, because it makes sense when the aux battery is on the frame under the floor, just behind the driver. And there's a tap for power large enough to handle charging there as well.

Always run my trucks positive to positive , neg to good grounds. Never any problems and blessing of techs. Isolater relay is good though, think one that is timed though before closing contact with second battery.
